For people who like to keep up with what's new around town, several restaurants are currently planned for Lee's Summit. Some are already under construction, while others are still working through
When summer hits full blast, no one wants to be stuck sweating it out inside. A little prep goes a long way in keeping things cool and comfortable at home and making sure your HVAC system doesn’t call it quits on the hottest day of the year.
Here are 5 simple things you can do right now:
Schedule a service check before the heat wave rolls in. If you have a home warranty, it may be required anyway.
Keep curtains closed when the sun’s blazing. It makes a real difference.
Use exhaust fans when cooking. Less heat in the kitchen = more chill everywhere else.
Close off unused rooms but not too many—keep at least 75% of your home ventilated to avoid stressing your system.
Change your filter regularly. It’s one of the easiest ways to boost efficiency and airflow.
Small tweaks like these can make summer a lot more comfortable.
